Why public
A claim should lead to a ruling, and a ruling should lead to the transcript and run manifest. If the evidence cannot survive that walk, the claim does not publish.
About the project
CompanionCourt is a public docket for pressure-testing AI companions. It exists to make a simple question inspectable: when being a good friend gets hard, what did the model actually do?
A claim should lead to a ruling, and a ruling should lead to the transcript and run manifest. If the evidence cannot survive that walk, the claim does not publish.
The name describes the procedural bar the project holds itself to. It is not a claim of jurisdiction, certification, ranking authority, or standing over anyone else.
The project is maintained under the pen name Holden Hale and released under Apache-2.0. The public docket uses synthetic personas, never real user conversations.
